More than half of America's pet-owning households have decided against veterinary treatment because of cost. Most clinics still don't offer a no-interest payment option, even though the majority of owners say that alone would let them afford care. The gap isn't love. It's access. Your investment closes it.
Every gift produces a return: a life

How Investment Works
There are two ways to invest in this work:
Give to a specific clinic's Hero Fund
Every partner clinic has its own dedicated crowdfunding page. Gifts made there are pooled into a single deferred revenue account for accounting integrity, but each clinic can see their own balance at all times. When a clinic has a qualifying case, they send us the details, and we release the funds — no red tape, no guessing.
Make a general investment in the Network
Unrestricted gifts fund the full mission, as resources allow:
- Subsidize a clinic's Hero Fund when a case's cost exceeds what that clinic has raised — so a winnable case is never lost to a shortfall.
- Crisis support to prevent economic surrender — helping families who would otherwise have to give up a pet after a disaster or sudden hardship stay together.
- Aftercare — a $750 investment provides a dignified goodbye when a pet passes, including cremation and keepsakes, through a member crematory or one we source near the case.

Your receipt is emailed immediately for Zeffy online investments. For bank transfers, we'll email your receipt after verifying your investment in our account, usually within 3–5 business days. Honoring a pet? Include the name in the notes or email us — we'll add your tribute to our memorial page.

Why "invest" instead of "donate"?
Same thing, different word. We use "invest" because every gift is expected to produce a return: a life saved, a family kept together, a veterinary team able to say yes instead of no.

Yes! Include your pet's name in the notes or email us. We'll add your tribute to our memorial page.
Why would a subscription ever cost money?
Right now, subscribing to Cherish Pet Tales is free and gets you discounts at partner clinics. Down the road, once we can reliably offer vendor and advertiser coupons worth more than a subscription would cost, we'll add a paid tier. Anyone subscribed before that point gets the first year of paid perks free.
